Continuing Our Support for Food for Learning

Great to see this program still making a difference. Food for Learning provides food to over 12,000 local children each school year. They ensure all students have access to a balanced breakfast, healthy snack or nutritious lunch. By providing these programs and services, their mission is to help students overcome barriers and succeed in school. This could not be done without the support of companies like Vision, and of course our mayor and elected officials.
On January 30th, Food for Learning hosted their annual Feed the Meter event. Last year the program provided more than 529,000 meals and snacks to local students to help them stay engaged in their learning and more energetic throughout the day. The City of Belleville has donated nearly $17,000 to the local cause, while a total between Quinte West, Prince Edward County and Belleville, of more than $38,000 is going to the program.
All proceeds went to the purchase of food, supplies, and equipment for Food for Learning’s breakfast, lunch, and snack programs.
Together, we believe the importance of students having the support they need to realize well-being and success!
